About the product
The basics: what it is, what it claims and who is behind it.
What is Sodatide?
Sodatide is a dietary supplement in capsule form, made for daily gut and metabolic support. One capsule contains 211 mg of chicory root inulin, 100 mg of potato resistant starch and 36 mg of a three-strain probiotic blend. A bottle has 30 capsules, which is a 30-day supply at one capsule a day. It pairs prebiotic fiber with live bacteria in one small capsule.
What does Sodatide claim to do?
The label makes three claims: “Metabolic & Digestive Support”, “Supports Appetite Control and Satiety” and “Promotes Energy Production From Fats”. Each carries the FDA asterisk, which means the FDA has not evaluated them. The label makes no weight-loss claim and no disease claim. Any site that promises more is going beyond the bottle.
Is Sodatide a capsule, a gummy or drops?
It is a capsule. The shell is hypromellose, a plant-based vegetarian material. Sodatide is not a gummy, a powder or liquid drops. Products sold in those forms under a similar name are different items, with different ingredients, so check the form before you order anywhere.
Is Sodatide baking soda?
No. The name sounds like soda, but there is no baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in the formula. The label lists inulin, resistant starch and three probiotic strains. Ads about a “baking soda trick” are not describing this product. More in our baking soda explainer.
Who makes Sodatide?
The label lists Instituto Experience of Lakeland, Florida, as the distributor. The manufacturer's name and factory address are not published. This site is run by Sodatideformula, a U.S. authorized Sodatide merchant. We sell the product and publish information about it, but we did not make it.
Is Sodatide FDA approved?
No. The FDA does not have the authority to approve dietary supplements before they are sold (U.S. FDA, Dietary Supplements Q&A). The FDA seal on the product says it is made in an FDA-registered facility. That describes the factory's registration, not approval of Sodatide or its claims.
Ingredients
What is in each capsule, straight from the Supplement Facts panel.
What are the ingredients in Sodatide?
Chicory root inulin (211 mg), potato resistant starch (100 mg) and a probiotic blend (36 mg). That adds up to 347 mg of active ingredients per capsule. No Daily Value is set for any of them. See the whole panel on the Sodatide Supplement Facts page.
Which probiotic strains are in Sodatide?
Three: Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. B. infantis is a common gut bacterium. C. butyricum makes butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid. Akkermansia lives in the gut lining and has been studied in adults with extra weight. Few supplements carry it.
How many CFU are in Sodatide?
Not published. The label gives the blend weight, 36 mg, but not the live count (CFU) or the amount of each strain. Weight in milligrams does not tell you how many live bacteria are inside. Without a CFU count, the blend cannot be compared with doses used in studies.
What is chicory root inulin?
Inulin is a prebiotic fiber taken from chicory roots. It passes through the small intestine undigested and feeds bacteria in the colon. As they ferment it, they make short-chain fatty acids. It is the largest ingredient in the capsule, at 211 mg, and the one most linked with early gas.
Are the doses in Sodatide as high as in research?
No. Studies used gram-level doses. For example, 5 to 10 g of inulin was tested for tolerance (Bonnema et al., 2010), and 28 to 34 g of potato starch a day was used in a butyrate study (Baxter et al., 2019). One capsule holds a small fraction of those amounts, so expect light support.
What are the other ingredients?
Hypromellose (the vegetarian capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. These are common capsule fillers and flow agents. They help the powder fill each capsule evenly. They are processed ingredients, which is why “100% natural” fits the actives better than the whole capsule.
Is Sodatide vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free?
The brand seals say vegetarian, naturally gluten free and dairy free. The label lists no gluten or milk ingredients, and the capsule shell is plant-based. No allergen test is published, so people with severe allergies should ask their doctor. See what each seal means.
How to take it
The label directions, and the questions people ask about them.
How do I take Sodatide?
Swallow one capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. The brand suggests the morning, preferably before a meal. Swallow it whole with the full glass. Keep the bottle in the fridge after opening, and take it daily rather than now and then.
What time of day is best for Sodatide?
The brand favors a morning dose before a meal. The most important thing is taking it at the same time each day, so it becomes a habit you do not forget. It helps to keep the bottle next to something you use every morning, such as the milk or the coffee.
Does Sodatide need to be refrigerated?
Yes, after opening. The brand asks you to refrigerate the bottle to protect the probiotics, which are living bacteria. Also keep it away from heat, light and humidity, as the label says. Close the cap tightly after each capsule so moisture stays out.
Is it OK to take two Sodatide capsules in one day?
No. The label warns against going over the recommended dose. More capsules mean more fiber at once, which can mean more gas. There is no evidence that doubling up helps. If you want more fiber overall, fiber-rich foods are the better route.
What if I miss a dose?
The label does not cover missed doses. Just take your next capsule at the usual time and carry on. Do not take two at once to catch up, since the label says not to exceed the recommended dose. One missed day will not undo weeks of steady use.
How long does Sodatide take to work?
There is no set timeline, and results vary. Studies on these ingredients ran 2 to 12 weeks. Give it 4 to 8 weeks of daily use, inside the 60-day guarantee window, before you judge it. The Sodatide results timeline explains more.
Safety
Side effects, cautions and who should check with a doctor first.
Does Sodatide have side effects?
The most likely are gas and bloating from the fiber, mostly in the first week. They often ease as your gut adjusts. Allergic reactions are rare but mean you should stop at once. The full list is on the Sodatide side effects page.
Who should not take Sodatide?
It is for healthy adults 18 and over. The label says pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using it. Anyone allergic to chicory, potato or a capsule ingredient should skip it.
Is Sodatide safe with a weakened immune system?
Talk to your doctor first. The NIH says probiotics rarely cause problems in healthy people but might not be safe for people with weakened immune systems (NIH). That includes people taking drugs that suppress the immune system.
Can I take Sodatide with my medicines?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist, and bring the label. No interaction studies are published for this product. Antibiotics and immune-suppressing drugs are the main ones to ask about. A pharmacist can check your full medicine list in a few minutes.
Is Sodatide suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Only with your doctor's approval. The label asks pregnant or nursing mothers to consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Your doctor can weigh it against everything else you are taking.
Buying, price & shipping
Where to buy, what it costs and how it ships.
How much does Sodatide cost?
Prices are shown on the secure order page before you pay. This site does not print them in advance, because they are set at checkout. There are 2, 3 and 6-bottle packs. Compare them on the Sodatide price page.
Which pack should I choose?
Two bottles last 60 days, which matches the guarantee window, so it suits a first try. Three bottles cover 12 weeks, the length of many gut studies. Six bottles cover 180 days and are the brand's most popular pack, but only the first 60 days fall inside the guarantee.
Where can I buy Sodatide? Is it on Amazon?
Buy on sodatideformula.com, the site of a U.S. authorized merchant. We cannot verify marketplace listings, and their orders are not covered by this refund desk. See where to buy Sodatide for the full guide.
Does Sodatide ship free?
The pack images show free US shipping on the 3 and 6-bottle packs. For the 2-bottle pack, the shipping cost is shown at checkout. You see the full total, including any shipping, before you pay.
How long does Sodatide shipping take?
Delivery times are not published. Orders ship from the United States unless the sales page says otherwise, and tracking arrives in the order email. If tracking stops moving, call the order desk with your order ID.
Are the bonus guides included?
Six digital guide covers come with the brand's media kit. Whether they are included, and with which packs, is confirmed at checkout. We do not list a dollar value for them, and we do not treat them as a reason to buy.
Guarantee & refunds
How the money-back guarantee works in practice.
Does Sodatide have a money-back guarantee?
Yes. It has a 60-day money-back guarantee, counted from the purchase date unless the sales page prints a longer window. It covers the purchase, not the outcome. It covers orders placed on this site.
How do I get a refund?
Call the order line with your order ID within 60 days of purchase. Then mail the bottles to 101 Park Avenue, Floor 26, New York, NY 10178 with your full name, email and order ID inside the parcel. Calling first puts your request on record.
Who pays return shipping?
The buyer pays return shipping. Send it tracked and hold on to the receipt and tracking number until the refund appears on your card. The tracking number is your proof that the parcel was sent.
How long does a refund take?
Refunds post 3–5 business days after the returns desk credits the order, then 5–10 days to show on the card. If nothing shows after that, call the order desk with your order ID and the date you mailed the parcel.
Does the guarantee cover orders from other websites?
No. This desk can only find orders placed on sodatideformula.com. For marketplace or other-site orders, contact the seller you paid. Full terms are in the refund policy.
